- Welcome to Video Librarian -- VLB from now on. VLB is a powerful database
- manager for video collectors. To print the documentation, just type
- print.bat at the DOS prompt and the manual will be listed to your printer.
- Installation - if your system consists of a color monitor and an Epson or
- Epson code compatible printer, you won't need to run the installation
- program (VLBINST.COM). otherwise, you'll need to install VLB by using the
- Vlbinst.com program. To start VLB, type VLB at the DOS prompt. I've included
- a sample database so you can quickly examine and learn all the features of VLB
- before you start using it to maintain your personal movie database. To use
- the sample database, copy the files SAMPLE.DAT, SAMPLE.K1, SAMPLE.K2,
- SAMPLE.K3, SAMPLE.K4, SAMPLE.K5 to your data disk, if you are using VLB from
- a hard disk and want the files to reside on your hard disk they must be in
- the same directory as the VLB program files. From the Main Screen Press C
- (CHfile) which stands for change file and then enter the appropriate drive
- letter and the word SAMPLE. The sample database will be loaded and
- you can quickly examine all the features of VLB. The default database name
- for VLB is VIDEO and is automatically created for you when you start VLB
- for the first time. The default database is always loaded initially, but you
- can switch to any previously created database from the Main Screen Menu.
